WINNETKA — Zack Kupferberg hit the game-winning basket with two seconds left, leading the Parker boys basketball team to a 54-53 victory over North Shore Country Day.

The buzzer-beater negated the Raiders’ furious comeback Friday.

North Shore trailed by 15 with 3:40 left in the game, but fought back to take a 1-point lead on Riley Hall’s basket with 10 seconds left.

The comeback started when Jamie Swimmer knocked down four free throws after Parker’s Langdon Neal was assessed two technicals. Elias Butler, who scored a team-high 18 points, then hit a 3 on the same possession. Butler added two more 3-pointers and Ian Meyer added four points to pull North Shore within one.
