Registration
Registration for the 2013-14 school year begins on Dec. 3. Those with children who will be 4 by Sept. 1, 2013 and wish to enroll them in extended day junior kindergarten program, or have a child who will be 5 by Sept. 1, 2013 and wish to enroll them in kindergarten, will need to fill out a registration form and include a $600 non refundable fee.
All new students require a registration form, baptismal certificate and birth certificate. For children in junior kindergarten who will just be moving on to kindergarten, there is a re-registration form to fill out to guarantee a spot in kindergarten. Junior kindergarten and kindergarten spots are first come. For more information, contact the office. Those who missed the open houses and still would like to visit the school, should call (847) 446-0005, or email shs@shwschool.org and set up an appointment for a tour.
Christmas dinners
Sacred Heart will be helping provide Christmas dinners to the Marillac House families on Chicago’s West side again this year. People are asked to help the school meet the goal of 100 Christmas dinners. Collection has begun. Needed are boxed mashed potatoes, canned gravy, boxed stuffing, canned cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, corn muffin mix, boxed cake mix, frosting, brownie mix.
Conferences
There is a noon dismissal for all students Nov. 19. Parent Teacher conferences will be held from 1-8 p.m. Nov. 20; there is no school for sixth-eighth grade. Junior kindergarten-fifth grade will have a half day of classes, dismissing at noon, and conferences will continue throughout the rest of that day. Teachers will contact parents regarding conference time. For more information, contact the teacher directly. There is no school Nov. 21-23 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.~.
