Mathurin joins board

Greg Mathurin of Des Plaines, Manager of Employee Relations with Walgreens, has joined the governing board of New Foundation Center located in Northfield. A native of Long Island, New York Mathurin attended Northwestern University where he studied economics.

He brings over ten years’ experience in Human Resources to his board position with three of them at HCR ManorCare, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. In 2005 he joined Walgreens working in the Employee Relations Department and continued working while attending Depaul University’s evening program earning his masters of busines administration in 2007. He was promoted to his current position in 2009.

New Foundation Center offers adults with serious mental illness permanent supportive housing, employment supports, skills training, and social networks in a recovery focused setting. The mission is “to partner with people with mental illness to recover and pursue lives of meaning and purpose.” It is supported by government funds, user fees and contributions from the community.
