NORTHFIELD — Northfield resident Molly Anderson will answer trivia questions in an attempt to win big as she appears as a contestant on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?”.

Anderson, 44, a figure skating coach who works at the Winnetka Ice Arena, will appear in an episode with Emmy Award-winning host Meredith Vieira airing at 4 p.m. Wednesday on WGN.

When she got the call, Anderson was in the middle of teaching and left the arena to take the call, accidentally locking herself outside for 20 minutes.

A former elementary teacher whose job was cut, Anderson decided to teach figure skating to children and also is the coach of the synchronized skating team at the Winnetka rink.

When asked what she would do if she won big on Millionaire, Anderson said she would build a big media room to accommodate all of her movies and CDs, have her hair professionally straightened and go to school for screenwriting.

Anderson was accompanied by her father Trent to New York City for the taping, and he sat in the audience as his daughter’s on-air companion for the show. ~.
