Winnetka police blotter for Sept. 6

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Winnetka and Northfield police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Winnetka
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Between 7 p.m. Sept. 1 and 10:44 a.m. Sept. 2 someone spray painted graffiti on the street at the intersection of Rosewood Avenue and Pine Street. Public works estimated repair costs at $100.
Between 10:34 a.m. Aug. 9 and 8:19 a.m. Aug. 30 someone spray painted graffiti underneath the Willow Road underpass located at 299 Green Bay Road.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS
Between 5 p.m. Aug. 30 and noon Sept. 1 someone entered an unoccupied residence on the 900 block of Tower Road and spray painted graffiti on the kitchen wall causing $200 worth of repair costs.
BATTERY
Charles E. Papageorge, 18, of 1195 Hamptondale Avenue was arrested at 3:14 p.m. Aug. 29 and charged with battery after an alleged incident at his residence. Papageorge was given a Sept. 24 court date.
BURGLARY
Between 7 a.m. Aug. 16 and 12 a.m. Aug. 27 someone stole two bicycles worth $400 from an attached garage of a home on the 1000 block of Asbury Court.
DRUG ARRESTS
Robert R. Kenyon III, 24, of 1821 Henley St., Glenview, was stopped at 8:19 p.m. Aug. 27 at 630 Green Bay Road and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
FRAUD
Between Aug. 1, 2009 and Aug. 30 2012 someone removed five checks from the administrator’s office of a tenant at 620 Lincoln Ave. The checks were subsequently forged and cashed. The amount of loss is unknown.
THEFT
Between 10:30 p.m. Sept. 2 and 1:50 p.m. Sept. 3 someone stole a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses, a pair of Revo sunglasses, a Tom Tom GPS unit, a power cord, an auxiliary converter and a daily planner worth $660 from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1300 block of Scott Avenue. The planner was found and returned to the owner.
Northfield
ALCOHOL
Taylor A. Trompeter, 24, of 1141 Deerfield Road, Deerfield, was stopped at 3:58 a.m. Sept. 2 on Waukegan Road north of Willow Road and cited for improper lane use and driving under the influence of alcohol. Trompeter was given a Sept. 27 court date.
Mario Ruiz-Serna, 49, of 39204 N. Ogdon Lane, Beach Park, was stopped at 8:21 p.m. Aug. 29 on Central Avenue at Ash Street and cited for disobeying a traffic control device, having no proof of insurance and DUI. Ruiz-Serna was given an Oct. 19 court date.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Between 3:30 p.m. Aug. 29 and 11:36 a.m. Aug. 30 someone smashed the passenger side window of a vehicle parked at 414 Frontage Road. Police believe a rock was thrown through the window causing $200 worth of damage. ~.
