Winnetka, Northfield police blotter

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Winnetka and Northfield Police Departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
WINNETKA
THEFT
Between 6 a.m. Aug. 14 and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 19 someone removed two bicycles from a garage on the 1300 block of Holly Lane. One bicycle was later recovered while the missing bicycle was valued at $500.
At 9:39 a.m. Aug. 19 it was reported someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 00 block of High Street and removed the owner’s manual, which contained the owner’s insurance card and vehicle registration. The loss was estimated at $25.
Between 8 a.m. July 16 and 8 a.m. Aug. 17 someone entered a residence on the 600 block of Walden Road and stole two watches and multiple pieces of jewelry valued in excess of $10,000.
Between 6:30 p.m. and 9:38 p.m. Aug. 17 someone entered a residence on the 1300 block of Asbury Avenue and stole jewelry, designer purses, cuff links, a watch and alcohol valued in excess of $10,000.
Between 7:25 a.m. and 10:20 p.m. Aug. 15 someone entered a residence on the 600 block of Green Bay Road and stole cash, a Sony Vaio laptop, two watches, a, “Swiss Army,” laptop case and miscellaneous pieces of jewelry valued at $3,060.
Between 5:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. Aug. 15 someone entered a residence on the 600 block of Green Bay Road and stole prescription medication from the home.
Between 10 a.m. and noon Aug. 14 someone stole an unsecured Trek 3500 “Onyx” bicycle valued at $300 from a bike rack at 385 Winnetka Avenue.
NORTHFIELD
ALCOHOL
Conor G. Gray, 18, of 1025 Mohawk Road, Wilmette, and Rommie Khalifeh, 18, of 2711 Lincoln Lane, Wilmette, were found to have consumed alcohol at 1:44 a.m. Aug. 21 after being picked up on Sunset Ridge Road. The two were cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor and given court dates on Sept. 28.
Jeramy S. Buchanan, 35, of 866 Berkshire Place, Crete, was stopped at 2:14 a.m. Aug. 15 on the 1800 block of Winnetka Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. ~.
