Dold to address business leaders next week

U.S. Congressman Robert Dold, R-Ill., is scheduled to address the business community 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. July 30 at Mission Hills Country Club, 1677 Mission Hills Road, Northbrook.
Chamber of Commerce and Industry members from Northbrook, Deerfield, River Woods, Bannockburn, Lincolnshire, Wheeling, Prospect Heights, Winnetka and Northfield have been invited to attend.
Dold is a member of the House Financial Services Committee, and serves on several subcommittees that have jurisdiction over issues pertaining to the economy, the banking system, monetary policy and international finance.
He also is vice chairman of the International Monetary Policy and Trade subcommittee, and serves on two subcommittees with oversight on capital markets, insurance and housing.
Some of the topics he is expected to address include Congressional efforts to reduce the budget deficit, the impact of rising energy costs on the economic recovery, Congressional gridlock, and his priority of creating incentives for jobs creation.
