The North Shore Senior Center’s 2012 Kick-Off Party for the Benefit for the House of Welcome (HOW) took place June 21.
More than 100 people attended the celebration, which was held to raise awareness for the upcoming HOW Benefit this fall. This year’s theme is “Help Light Our House of Welcome.” The artwork for all promotional pieces features a lighthouse that was painted in watercolors by one of the HOW participants.
The Benefit, which will take place at the Arthur C. Nielsen, Jr. Campus in Northfield September 23, will be the single largest fundraiser of the year for the House of Welcome, North Shore Senior Center’s day program for persons with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of memory loss.
In addition to a formal dinner and cabaret-style entertainment, the Benefit will feature a Grand Raffle and Silent Auction. All proceeds directly support the House of Welcome.
