University of Chicago honors Art and Patricia Nielsen

The University of Chicago presented on May 7 its Harper Society Founder’s Circle Bronze to Winnetka resident Chris Nielsen, son of the late Arthur and Patricia Nielsen, commemorating his parents’ generosity and service to the School of Social Service Administration.
Patricia Nielsen served on the school’s Visiting Committee for 22 years and led its development council. Following Patricia’s death in 2005, Art Nielsen established a scholarship in her honor which supports three graduate social work students annually and is the school’s fourth largest scholarship.
