The Winnetka Children’s Hour is pleased to present its original hour-long comedy musical, “House Haunters!”, performed by local children ages 5-14 on Thursday, Feb. 9 and Friday, February 10 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Matz Hall, Winnetka Community House, 620 Lincoln Ave in Winnetka. “House Haunters” is an original musical production performed by kids for kids. When the last heir to a mysterious English Manor house dies, he leaves his six ghostly relatives lurking up in the attic. What happens when several unlikely families show up to try to buy the mansion? Will the ghosts outsmart the family of mischievous kids? Will the mismatched newlyweds have Scotland Yard solve the mystery of who is haunting them? Or will the high society couple undo the ghosts’ plans by redecorating the house from top to bottom? Your entire family will enjoy the hijinks that occur as the ghosts try to get the better of everyone (including the Ghostbusters!) with their hilarious hauntings and musical mayhem. Filled with song and dance, “House Haunters” promises a good time for all.
The Winnetka Children’s Hour is a non-profit organization that has been providing live, original performances for families since 1932. In addition to sponsoring kid’s events and workshops, the group writes and performs an original comedy musical every year starring children ages 5 – 14 from Winnetka, Northfield and Kenilworth.
