The following is a list of coming events at the Winnetka Youth Organization, located in the lower level of the Winnetka Community House, 620 Lincoln Ave.
Every Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday, February 10 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., the WYO will host a Junior High Night for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
Youth Board Meeting, Thursday, Feb. 2
Want to have a say in what goes on around here? Are you interested in youth leadership opportunities? Stop by from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., have some pizza, and share your ideas!
Open Mic Night, Friday, Feb. 3
Join the WYO from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. for the monthly program, the Coffeehouse Kickback. The WYO space will be transformed into a coffeehouse, featuring a stage for musicians, poets, comedians, and artists to show off their talents.
Black History Movie Night, Saturday, Feb. 4
The WYO will be celebrating Black History Month with a selection of films to learn about important figures in history as well as key events and milestones in United States history. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Valentine’s Day Movies and Card Making , Feb. 11 and Feb. 14
Come celebrate Valentine’s Day with the WYO, which will have plenty of love-themed movies on hand as well as supplies
to make cards for all the special people in your life. Snacks and drinks provided.
